Sam Joyce

Sam Joyce is a senior policy adviser in Defra’s peatland restoration policy team.

The team implements the national policy on peatland restoration in England. It also oversees the Nature for Climate Peatland Grant Scheme, which is run by Natural England.

Sam’s work includes leading on how peatland restoration can be best delivered through our Environmental Land Management schemes, which encourage nature-friendly farming practices.
